I hold on to both sides
Not seeking a fun ride
Hands wrapped around
Feet not touching ground
Seated on top a plank
Drawing mental blanks
As the ice trickles down
Allowing my body to frown
Connected to metal links
Time passing within my blinks
Temperature below the zero
Will I be rescued by a hero?
I drive down the road, pitch black
Driving so fast should I look back?
Just one last look before I leave
If I do will it misconceive?
I glance over to my side mirror
I’ve never seen it so clearer
Thirty seconds to green
Leaving behind this past scene
To leave or to stay which will I choose
Will I happily win or sadly loose
A decision not so nicely said
Stepped on the pedal before it turned red
Standing in the shallow
Hoping for everything mellow
Will my light ever shine?
Boxed within my mind
White screen reflected
My mind so unprotected
Just trapped within my walls
Hoping my ceiling won’t fall
The waves are coming in strong
Take me to where I belong
I know this isn’t my home
I wish to no longer roam
Restore my health
Give me strength
Give me wealth
Restore life length
Give me Fame
Give me Fortune
Handed shame
Handed misfortune
If I wish upon tonight
Once again visual sight
Wrinkled faces
Wrinkled hands
History traces
Age demands
